I just returned from a powerful training retreat. In order to attend I had to do so many things out of my comfort zone. As a HSP (Highly Sensitive Person) travel is not easy. For those of you that are not HSP’s you may not fully understand but I recommend you read on to help support and understand those individuals in your life that are.
As a HSP one of the main struggles is that our nervous systems can become overwhelmed by too much external stimuli.
The stimuli can be sounds, visual, scents or simply energetic. Traveling has the ability to provide large amounts of all of these types of shots in the arm. It is in our nature to avoid the very unpleasant feeling of being in the overwhelmed state. So the choice is usually avoiding travel or spending lots of time preparing for travel in anticipation of all the possible scenarios that may arise. I chose to travel and prepare as well as possible.
Choosing to travel and attend this training retreat was a decision I had to make and after returning I have a list of things to implement and change in my business.
Usually making decisions can also be difficult because of many reasons but mainly we don’t want to make a mistake.
I want to give you a few tips to help you with the decision making process.
First, I am going to ask you to let go of the possibility of making a mistake. What if you went into the decision making process with the idea that any choice you make is “for now” or “your next step” instead of a earth shattering decision.
Secondly, remember we can only take one step at a time and although we do impact our lives, we are in partnership with Spirit. We have to trust that Spirit will guide us in the direction for our highest and best good, but we have to ask for support. So, when you need to make a decision ask Spirit for guidance and LISTEN!
Finally, choose with your intuition. As a HSP you have a strong intuitive sense. You may have been taught over the years not to trust your intuition, so another way to access your inner guidance is to listen to how your body reacts to the potential choices.
Hopefully, these tips will help you with your next decision.
If you are looking for support to enhance your intuition, increase your confidence so you can thrive and not just survive, I would love to talk.
