Do you feel burnt out?
Do you have a hard time coming back to work, or focus on tasks you need to get done?
Do you feel your motivation waning?
Don’t ignore your body, mind, and spirit, it is time to re-balance your energy.
You may be wondering what that actually means. We have all heard that we need to engage in more “self-care” and take some time out for ourselves. In my experience, this is different for each individual. When we start to put more shoulds, add more to our lists that need to get done, this is not going to help revitalize our energy.
So, what does it mean to re-balance your energy?
Re-Balancing your energy is choosing to focus your time and thoughts in a different. If you are feeling burnt out, we can agree that whatever you are doing right now isn’t working.
We are all a delicate balance of BODY, MIND, AND SPIRIT. If you are ready to make a small change today then continue reading.
- Check in to each of the three areas (body, mind, and spirit), and rate how you feel about those areas on a scale of 1 to 10. A 1 indicates that things are really out of balance, and a 10 is it is great for me. For instance, if you put a 1 for your body this means you are completely out of shape, don’t have much energy, or may even be in pain.
- Now that you have a rating for each of these three areas, pick the area with the lowest number and write out how you want that to be, what is your ideal body, mind, spirit?
- Set a small goal, one small change you can make in that area, commit to that change for 21 days.
You must be committed to change, be ready to shake things up one step at a time. Lasting change doesn’t happen overnight, and re-balancing your energy will also take some time and effort.
Next time I will discuss strategies to re-balance each area.
